In my eyes, this 18-year-old snowboard kid from Mona Vale doesn’t get the recognition he deserves along the sandy stretch of beaches he calls home. As a potential Olympian, his talent warrants house-hold name status, and girls should be flocking to the discos on a Friday night to hunt him down. Put simply: he is very, very good at what he does, and is considered by those in the know as the best halfpipe rider in the country. Say Hello to the Australian Junior Athlete and Snowboarder of the Year, Nate Johnstone. |

The most exciting thing in relation to electronic music is the fact that it’s still a very new form of music, completely open to interpretation. And being an infant in the musical scheme of things, Dance Music has all the room to move in the world. People are grabbing it by the face, manipulating and twisting its nipple. And these individuals, who are at the very forefront of contemporary music, are producing sounds unlike anything that has ever been heard or existed. One dude who is riding the hedonistic electronic wave of future noise is DJ, Northern Beaches resident and producer extraordinaire, fRew. |

It's become a kind of ritual for me and Brendo now, we've been going down once a year/twice a year since Brendo got those first shots run like six years ago.
We've been pumped on the plane ever since. I got my plane ticket, jumped on the L90 and got the flight with mates to pick me up at the other end. This trip, this swell, we just really lucked into a good one.

Eager to find out more about this young goofy-footer, we fired off a barrage of improvised prompts for him to unravel. |
